"Somewhere in time's own space
There must be some sweet pastured place
where creeks sing on and tall trees grow,
some paradise where horses go.
For by the love that guides my pen,
I know great horses live again."

Yesterday's Dream
In today's world, a boy dreams of the fastest car. In yesterday's
world, he
dreamed of an elegant, swift steed. Hobby was Yesterday's Dream.
A
beautiful Standardbred, Hobby was the loyal mount who delivered young Don
Collins to school each day in grand style, returned to school a solitary
figure at day's end to carry his young partner, then was the inevitable
champion of the great boyhood races of yesterday down Emerald Road.
