"For the love of horses..."

In December 2008, Donegal Ranch Quarter Horses cared for a honored guest for 19 days. His name is Clever Allemont. "Allers", as we call him, was born in 1982 and is a champion Thoroughbred racing stallion. Winner of the Rebel Stakes and other significant races, he missed running in the 1985 Kentucky Derby due to an injured hoof. He came to us as a horse rescued from a slaughter lot and left as one of the most remarkable horses we have ever known. He now resides at the elite Thoroughbred retirement santuary Old Friends in Kentucky. Clever Allemont, thank you for the happiness and blessing you brought to us. We will always love you (and you will always have a home at Donegal Ranch Quarter Horses.)
